About United Lutheran Church

Established in 1872 Immanuel Lutheran Church was built near 168th St. in the Grand Haven Township near the cemetery. Soon after a parsonage and school were built, but the school didn't last very long. In 1905 the church was moved to Agnew Michigan. In 1952 the church was once again moved to Lake Michigan Drive to make room for the four lane highway US 31. See the picture of the truck moving the church down the road to it's current home.

On July 14th 1996 two churches merged, Immanuel Lutheran Church and St John's Robinson Church became one and re-named the church to United Lutheran Church.

Today United Lutheran Church has a great team in leadership and you can enjoy the music from our pianist along with the Praise and Worship Team leading the congregation in their hymns.

You can see the picture of our bell located in the steeple of the church donated to United Lutheran in 1912. Today the the bell is still manually rung by a church member using a rope system to signal the start of worship services.
